Description

Switching regulator LM323K TO-3 5.1V 4.25A

We have designed and built a switch mode replacement for the obsolete fixed 5V regulators LM109, LM309, LM123, LM323 and 7805.

Our replacement is rated at 4.25A continuous with a heat sink. By having an output voltage of 5.1 volts instead of 5 volts, limits the voltage drop seen in many situations such as on pinball driver boards or in long cable runs. Almost all 5 volt rated devices will have absolutely no issues with input voltages up to and including 5.2 volts. As a switching regulator. these devices run so much cooler than the original linear regulators. It is still recommended that these switching regulators are mounted to a heatsink when the device is going to delivering a constant current of 2 Amps or more.
